Our client, an international company active in the food sector, is currently looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to reinforce its offices located in the East Flanders region.
Reporting to the Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer, the responsibilities of this role will include:
- Coordinate financial accounting and IFRS exercises with the Financial Accountant and an external consulting firm & liaise with the Statutory Auditor;
- Prepare monthly consolidation sheet for the Group;
- Support sales offices regarding financial questions/projects, monthly financial reporting, year-end closing (local GAAP and IFRS) and accounting matters;
- Follow up on formalities for the company's Asia branch;
- Follow up of banking relationship, banking issues (cash pool, interest rate...) and new evolutions (Single Euro Payment Area SEPA, cash pool);
- Calculate of open forex position and propose possibilities to hedge position;
- Coordinate insurance policy with broker and follow up on insurance policy changes, updates, market reviews;
- Support other departments in related questions and participate in the optimisation of procedures);
- Responsible for projects (SAP/Axapta upgrade) and participate in ad-hoc projects;
- Act as legal support on contracts
- Supervision of 1 person.
The successful candidate has a Master degree in Finance or equivalent by experience, combined with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. An experience in closing and currency hedging is required. Fluency in English is mandatory and a good knowledge of Dutch and French is necessary. Knowledge of German is an asset. A good general IT background is required. Exposure to an ERP environment (SAP) is an asset while experience with Axapta is a clear plus.
