Our client is an electricity producer and energy supplier. For their offices based in Brussels the company is currently looking for a "Treasury Manager" (m/f).
Reporting to the Senior Manager Market Risk, the responsibilities of this role will include:

- Develop an effective and efficient framework for cash management and currency and interest activities in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders;
- Optimize consolidated financial business results through an efficient financing structure and the underlying assets and liabilities (cash and money market positions, financial debts, maturity horizon and the need for working capital);
- Ensuring and maintaining of the appropriate liquidity levels, on a daily basis, to meet fluctuations and the needs for working capital;
- Managing the portfolio of the company on available short term cash and optimisation of interest;
- Optimizing the financial structure of the company in order to limit the interest cost of maintaining the liquidity and the refinancing of the risk at an acceptable level;
- Develop, implement and manage banking relationships to reduce costs and to ensure a satisfactory service to the business units;
- Managing issuance of bank guarantees and follow-up and monitoring of bank guarantees and the related costs;
- Manage currency and interest activities according to the existing governance policies to limit the profit volatility of the company;
- Provide treasury-support;
- Develop and manage a strong and effective team of 3 Treasury professionals
- Participation to projects:
- Managing a new Treasury organisation in accordance with the requirements of the company and the majority shareholder;
- Updating of the existing Treasury policy;
- Implementation of an efficient cash management structure;
- Improving the prognosis process in relation to the cash flow to obtain a better accuracy and efficiency;
- Implementation of an infrastructure to evaluate the performance of the Pension Fund and appropriate reporting.

The successful candidate has a Master degree in Finance or equivalent by experience, combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and Treasury. Knowledge of financial instruments (spot, forward, swaps, options) and cash management is required. A good knowledge in Dutch, French and English is essential.

The ideal candidate displays strong communication skills and strikes a balance between being persuasive and a critical mindset. Besides a process minded attitude, he/she also demonstrates excellent analytical skills and a self starter attitude. In addition, the future team member is a strong team player and has a helicopter view over the end to end process.
