Business Controller Logistics
Our client is a fast-paced US multinational which is listed on the NYSE. For their European Central Warehouse based in the South of Limburg, they are currently looking for a Business Controller Logistics (m/f).
Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning & Control EMEA with a dotted line to the Vice President of Operations EMEA, your main responsibilities will include:
Supervision of accounting:
- Ensuring the correct allocation of costs;
- Promoting quality- and deadline oriented closings;
- Ensuring accuracy of invoicing;
- Implementing procedures, KPI's and controls;
- Supervision of 2 people;
Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis;
Acting as a business partner with the Vice President Operations:
- Analysing logistics costs & business processes and proposing improvements;
- Providing support to special projects:
- Freight reduction and recovery;
- Third Party Logistics cost analysis;
- Outsourcing vs. insourcing;
- Centralisation vs. decentralisation;
- Reducing the amount of goods returned;
Ensuring compliance with Sox;
Liaison with Corporate internal departments (logistics, finance ...).
The successful candidate has a Master in Economics, Finance, Commercial Engineering or equivalent by experience, combined with an experience of 4 to 6 years in external audit and/or in controlling within an international industrial company. An experience within a manufacturing or logistics environment is a strong asset. A very good knowledge of Dutch and English is required, knowledge of German is a strong asset. An excellent knowledge of Excel is necessary while a first experience with SAP and SAP BW is a strong asset.

Furthermore he/she is stress resistant, structured and has a sound business acumen. He/she is also hands on, can work independently and has a good balance between assertivity and diplomacy. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the potential and willingness to grow within the company.
