Our client, a private bank is currently looking to recruit a Private Banker for their offices based in Brussels.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Senior Private Banker; your main responsibilities will include:
Commercial Activities "Customer facing time" (80%):
- Maintain regular meetings with existing clients and prospection of new clients;
- Proactive prospection based on personal and professional networks (proactive management of the network);
- Organise commercial events and/or participate to events organised by the company and follow up contacts;
- Maintain a confidential relationship with existing clients: regular contacts with the clients conform defined norms by the bank;
- Inform clients on the products and services of the bank (planning, funds, credit, etc.);
- Encode commercial reports in CRM;
- Take in consideration and follow MIS, Risk Management, Compliance and Audit reports,
- Manage and follow procedures;
Management Client Relations (15%):
- Optimisation of administrative follow up of commercial contacts (client and prospects) and assure optimal support;
- Optimal use of CRM for prospects and existing clients;
- Establishment of visit reports to assure an optimal relational follow up with the prospects and assure that follow up is efficient;
Portfolio Management / Estate Planning / Credits: meetings, lecture, committees (5%):
- Proactive and efficient follow up of portfolio management (300 to 350 accounts);
- Follow up the management of the accounts under discretionary mandates or not;
- Active participation to direction meetings;
- Follow up correct administration of accounts in collaboration with the Client Administration (CLS).
The ideal candidate has a Master in Economic Sciences, Finance or Juridical or equivalent by experience. Minimum 4 years' experience in a Big 4 (tax, corporate finance, ...) in retail, corporate or private banking. A very good knowledge of French with a good knowledge of Dutch or English is required. An active knowledge of the MS Office tools is a must.
The perfect candidate is a good networker. He/she has empathy and persuasion skills. He/she is commercial, and has very good negotiation as well as organisation skills. The ideal candidate is results oriented, autonomous and has team spirit. He/she needs to be able to prioritize and plan tasks.
