Managing privacy in the face of COVID-19

Throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our governments and businesses have had to rely on technology more than ever, not only to assist in combating the outbreak, but also to continue “business as normal” from our homes.

Watch our on-demand webinar, “Managing privacy in the face of COVID-19” for unique insights and a discussion led by Anne Toth, Technology Policy Consultant, with guest speakers Alisa Bergman, Chief Privacy Officer at Adobe, Caitlin Fennessy, Research Director at The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and Christopher Lee, Chief Privacy Officer at The United States Senate.

Our technological response to COVID-19 has brought privacy and surveillance concerns to the forefront - from hacked video conferencing sessions, to proposed government tracking of people’s cellphones as a measure to limit and prevent the spread of the virus. Therefore, how your company or government agency manages privacy during this outbreak could determine one’s success.

Topics of discussion will include:
  • The use of tracking apps for COVID-19 contract tracing exposure;
  • Distributed workforce privacy and security risks and mitigation strategies;
  • Using technology and social media to help the public.
