Accounting Manager

A fast-growing and human-sized company active in the retail sector is currently looking to hire an Accounting Manager to join their offices in the North of Brussels.

Thanks to your experience, you will have an essential role in accompanying the company’s growth.

Your main responsibilities as the new Accounting Manager will include:

• Supervise a team of 9 accountants (AP, GL,..)
• Monitor and analyse the quality of the work delivered (monthly closing, annual closing, VAT, corporate taxes)
• Be the contact person for auditors and Tax consultants
• Internally define and harmonize procedures and methods and monitor their implementation
• Make recommendations and implement initiatives to improve the organization
• Prepare and supervise accounting operations in the context of mergers and acquisitions
• Participate actively in the implementation of a new ERP and organize training for your team
• Be a backup for the CFO regarding executive tasks
• Perform credit analysis
• Keep updated with the bank’s credit methodologies and policies
• Launch credit application for corporate clients and follow up the process of credit approval

Your profile and strengths:

• You have minimum 7 years of experience in accounting
• You are fluent in Dutch and French

• You have ideally experience in people management
• You have an excellent knowledge of BE GAAP
• You like continuous improvement and implementing new procedures/tools to increase efficiency
