Accounting Specialist (Reinsurance)

A company active in the Insurance sector is currently looking to hire an Accounting Specialist Reinsurance to join their offices in Brussels.

Thanks to your experience in Finance, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role in the financial administration.

Your main responsibilities as the new Accounting Specialist Reinsurance will include:

• Collect, verify, review, and record financial data
• Manage the administration of the reinsurance activity according to the deadlines set by the consolidation department
• In close collaboration with the Reinsurance department, collect information from the activity to record it in the general ledger
• Reporting: periodically produce various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and closings for financial reporting purposes for internal and external publication within the imposed deadlines. This also includes assistance/preparation of the BGAAP annual accounts
• Internal challenge and anticipation, where possible, when performing various reporting tasks
• Advise on procedures, processes, and internal control measures to be used in the organization. Takes a proactive role in the modification and maintenance of financial programs used

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant field for this role
• You have a few years’ experience in accounting, preferably in the insurance sector
• You are fluent in English, and you have good knowledge of French or Dutch
