GL Accounting Manager

An international company active in the industrial sector is currently looking to hire a GL Accounting Manager to join their office in Walloon Brabant. Thanks to your experience in finance, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role in it.

Your main responsibilities as the new GL Accounting Manager will include:

• Supervise the GL team and all tasks related to general accounting for the Belgian and French companies of the group
• Participate in monthly and annual closing
• Improve reporting, accounting processes and implementation of accounting policies, and monitoring of corporate overheads
• Manage daily operations in collaboration with other departments
• Accounting and monitoring of payroll costs
• Ensure the reliability of information and follow-up on taxes with the support of external consultants
• Establish VAT returns
• Follow-up with external consultants for foreign VAT declarations and follow-up of legal statistics
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare the annual accounts
• Facilitate contact with external persons

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• You have around 10 years’ experience in a similar position
• You are fluent in French and in English
• You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP

Your strengths:

• You have solid skills in BE GAAP and FR GAAP would be a plus
• You have knowledge in IFRS
• You can manage a team
• You are stress resistant and curious
• You have collective sense and you are a problem solver
