Business Controller

One of the world’s leading logistics company is on the look out to hire a Business Controller to join their team in Kontich/Tessenderlo. You will support the business with financial and operational analysis and with your experience in finance you’ll be the perfect fit for this role.

Your main tasks as a Business Controller:

• Discuss improvements with various stakeholders in order to increase the profitability and productivity;
• Challenge & defend business cases to justify investments;
• Analyze, challenge & validate (new) customer contracts;
• Responsible for month and year end closing;
• Responsible for the quarterly forecasting & yearly budgeting process of the branch;
• Liaison with Head Office accounting department, ensuring all queries are promptly solved;
• Ad hoc financial tasks.

The ideal candidate for the role as Business Controller has a master’s degree in finance with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics or production and within an international environment. Solid knowledge of Dutch, French and English with excellent communication and social skills. Understanding of different costing systems and the ability to strike the balance between details and the essence. An open mind towards improving performance and resolving issues. Ability to challenge data, ensure correct understanding, come to an opinion and present the result of the analysis in an independent way.
