Corporate Controller

A global market leader is searching for a new Corporate Controller to complete their Corporate Finance team. It’s a company active in the production sector and based in Mechelen. As a Corporate Controller you will be responsible for analysing, planning, controlling and give advice on several financial cost centers and functional area’s and support the different Controlling teams as well as the country teams in driving optimization projects which can be of an operational or financial nature.

Your responsibilities as Corporate Controller will include:

• Support the Divisional Finance team to further professionalise the analysis, reporting and management tools.

• Be pro-active in seeking improvement opportunities or control gaps and propose actions

• Prepare profound financial analysis of ad hoc projects (commercial tenders, capex, supplier commitments, transport & operational excellence and procurement initiatives) and be able to present and advise to senior management and convince local teams to adopt new ways of working.

• Support in the monthly closing, forecasting, annual budget and long-term strategic planning processes

• Secure and develop analytical tools and reports to support business decisions and analysis

• Be the ambassador for standard best practices and common tools, templates and policies

• Work closely with all parties (finance, commercial, operations, legal, tax,…) and levels (subsidiary, division and corporate) of the organisation

Profile:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar

• Several years of relevant experience as Controller/Auditor

• When facing challenges, you take them on with a positive and solution-oriented approach.

• You take initiative and drive towards change in all processes and help implement new concepts and tools.

• You are stress resistant and able to process a large amount of complex data, while maintaining focus on the bigger picture.

• You have a strong analytical mindset and solid communication skills

• You have a real team player attitude

• Fluency in English is required, with knowledge of Dutch and any other European language is an asset.
