Business Controller

The ambitious company is located in Aalst and is looking for a Business Controller to support its growth. Montea NV is listed on NYSE Euronext Brussels (MONT) and Paris (MONTP) with a current team of 41 people. At the end of 2022, Montea NV's real estate portfolio represented a total area of 1.89 million m², spread over 92 sites and portfolio value of €2.2 billion. Montea has a market capitalisation of €1.4 billion. Montea has a small national structure (family atmosphere) in the various countries and is expanding across countries. Sustainability is at the heart of the company. The ambitious company is looking for a Business Controller, in its offices in Erembodegem, Aalst to support its growth. The Business Controller is responsible for portfolio valuation, financial modelling and implementing a Business Intelligence (Power BI):

• Valuation process: guiding the external valuation expert in the preparation of the quarterly portfolio valuations (preparation of the tenancy schedule and review of deliverables)
• Financial modelling: setting up and adapting financial and DCF models to reporting and business needs. Estimating future green revenues such as solar panel parks or other sustainability investments.
• A key role in further automation and digitalisation, with business ownership of the implementation of a business intelligence system (Power BI).
• Ensure timely and accurate Group reporting (incl. variance analysis and deployment of client & property portfolio related processes and procedures).
• Develop short- and long-term financial plans, budgets and forecasts to help management forecast business parameters and relevant strategies to achieve Montea's objectives.
• Set up reporting/tools and produce ad hoc analyses for internal clients and external parties.
• Consolidate all financial information obtained
• Business partnering: identifying needs of the business and then proactively converting them into analyses, reports or action points.
• Facilitating communication, knowledge and action points between Finance and asset, property and project managers.
• Defining group-level procedures and definitions to improve reporting consistency and accuracy.

The ideal profile as a Business Controller will have:

• A master's degree or equivalent through experience
• At least 3 years of experience
• A fluent knowledge of Ms office and Power BI
• Affinity with the sector
• A strategic mindset with strong financial knowledge, is open minded and has a no-nonsense mentality
