A major multinational company specializing in medical devices is recruiting a Finance Director Benelux for its Zaventem office.

A hands-on, strategic position has just become available in Zaventem due to an internal move.

Reporting to the Benelux General Manager, you will oversee all financial and tax management matters in the Benelux region. You have a key role in ensuring that the country has the right operational controls, administrative procedures, and reporting to develop the organization successfully. You will also lead all financial functions, including financial accounting, planning and control, and develop, monitor, and evaluate the country's overall strategy with the management team.

Your main responsibilities as the Finance Director Benelux will include:

• Establish country financial strategy, manage financial capital, and communicate capital requirements and implications of business decisions to country management team regional CFO, EMEA finance colleagues and HQ
• Be responsible for internal and external financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with legal reporting, accounting, and tax requirements, as well as corporate reporting standards (IFRS, NL and BE GAAP)
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process and assess any necessary changes
• Supervise and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in collaboration with the General Manager for the Benelux, administering and reviewing all financial plans and budgets, monitoring progress and changes, and informing the management team
• Manage the organization's cash flows, forecasts and assets
• Implement a robust and legally compliant contract management and financial management/reporting system
• Maintain and implement appropriate internal control safeguards
• Ensure that processes and systems are managed, analyzed, introduced and improved

About you:

• You have a master's degree in finance or equivalent
• You have at least 5 years' experience in a senior finance or controlling position with practical experience in finance, accounting, and cost control. You also have experience in a global matrix organization
• You are trilingual (French, English, and Dutch)
• You have solid knowledge of IFRS, NL and BE GAAP
• You have good skills in SAP
• You have excellent analytical abilities and the ability to work independently on complex financial models
• You are autonomous but also strong in a team
• You have a real sense of belonging and responsibility
• You are result driven, entrepreneurial and are hands-on in times of change
