Finance Manager

A world’s leading logistics company is looking for a Finance Manager with an analytical mindset and a great business acumen to reinforce their team in Herentals.

What to expect in your role as Finance Manager:
You will be responsible for providing clear reporting of reliable financial indicators and you’ll be able to see the risks and opportunities behind the numbers.

Your key responsibilities are:

• Financial reporting with high focus on quality & deadline according to group requirements
• Solid financial monitoring and performance management of the business
• Contribute within the Controlling network to provide advice and guidance to Management teams to make appropriate decisions by analysing and identifying issues, challenging KPIs from an economic point of view, and suggesting and influencing points of business improvement, to increase overall profitability and cost effectiveness while minimizing working capital
• Contribute to best-practice benchmarking, through the development of shared projects and information exchange; benchmarking with also external competition for continuous improvement is also expected
• Reporting related to capital expenditure (capex), cost reporting, profitability reporting per site, etc.
• Closely collaborating with the shared service functions in the Group with focus on accounting, tax and credit management in monthly and annual closing processes
• Drawing up annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Advising on accruals and provisions
• Responsible for budget, flash, forecast processes with local management as well as supporting business’s strategy development

The ideal candidate for the role as Finance Manager has:

• A university degree in finance, accounting or applied economics;
• Solid knowledge of different financial processes;
• Capability to take business decisions rapidly, while preserving financial & commercial interests;
• An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail;
• Knowledge of, and experience with, MS Excel and SAP;
• Experience in a complex international industry is an asset;
• The ability to identify business risks and recommend action plans;
• Great people management skills, someone who can elevate, coach and motivate others;
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
