Financial & Business Controller

An interesting new opportunity as Financial & Business Controller has become available at an international leader in the manufacturing sector, based in Lommel.

Your main responsibilities as the new Financial & Business Controller will include:

• Providing accurate monthly management accounts (Including P&L, Fixed Assets Register, Capex Review)
• Providing accurate weekly/monthly management information and commercial performance reviews
• Building reports and analysis to drive forward commercial understanding, business performance and help make commercial decisions on key measures such as customer type, price group, product and mix of supply
• Controlling the monthly provisions for inclusion in periodic management accounts
• You’re in charge of timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to Senior Management and Group Board members
• Supporting initiatives and drive systems/process to remove manual and repetitive tasks, improve analysis and information for decision making and further developments in line with business strategy
• Assisting with managing the demand planning process, coordinating with Commercial and Operations teams as well as Finance
• On a weekly basis you provide reporting schedules as well as production of weekly sales reports
• Assisting with the budgeting process
• Providing analysis and reporting of revenue, costs and profitability across product range and customer mix
• Providing variance analyses of actuals vs budget and variations
• You give insight info to discuss impacts of changes to the forecast
• Assessing new customers and future business opportunities
• Supporting initiatives and drive systems/process to remove manual and repetitive tasks, improve analysis and information for decision making and further developments in line with business strategy
• Ad hoc projects

The ideal candidate for this role as Financial & Business Controller has:

• A higher degree in finance or economics
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience within an international manufacturing company is desirable but not essential
• The ability to analyse and understand critical information
• Driven by a healthy dose of ambition
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
