Interim Accounting Manager

For a well-known engineering company based in the Brussels region, we are looking for an Interim Accounting Manager for an assignment of minimum 6 months.

Some of the Interim Accounting Manager’s responsibilities are:

• Oversee day-to-day activities of Belgium entity’s accounting department including Branches
• Improve team’s efficiency and productivity through reorganization and / or process improvement
• Supervise and coordinate accounting team’s activities (Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (G/L)
• Analyse balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
• Internal control and statutory compliance
• Ensure book compliance with BGAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Timely execution of monthly/ quarterly/annual closings and reporting cycles
• Tax administration (VAT, corporate tax etc.…)
• Responsible for the preparation of financial and tax audits of the Belgian entity
• Preparation of annual accounts and quarterly and/or annual reporting to the Works Council

Your Profile:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as Accounting Manager in an international environment
• You display strong leadership and people management skills
• You have strong technical skills(IFRS-BE Gaap)
• You are capable to work under pressure, multitask and meet tight deadlines
• You show an eye for details and work well organized and structured
• Fluent in English knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
