Accounting Manager

An exciting opportunity is open for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a dynamic Financial Services environment in Brussels. This role combines strategic oversight, people leadership, and high-level client management within a fast-paced and international context.

Your responsibilities as an Accounting Manager :

• Drive team performance to achieve operational KPIs through coaching and motivation
• Execute business strategy in alignment with management direction
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and local stakeholders
• Monitor workload, planning, and productivity across the team
• Develop team capabilities while ensuring procedures and policies are applied
• Oversee a full client portfolio through technical expertise and team leadership
• Review client accounts, periodic reporting, annual accounts, and statutory filings
• Ensure quality and compliance of VAT, tax returns, and financial reporting (BE GAAP / IFRS)
• Coordinate and follow up on client audits
• Manage client relationships, expectations, and escalations
• Support commercial activities including fee proposals
• Coordinate onboarding of new clients
• Drive process optimisation, standardisation, and continuous improvement

About you :

• You are a Dutch or French native speaker with fluent English
• You hold a Bachelor in Accounting and a Master in Tax or equivalent
• You are a certified ITAA member
• You bring 5 years of experience in outsourcing or multinational environments
• You have strong experience in team leadership and coaching
• You demonstrate excellent people management and collaboration skills
• You focus on quality, problem-solving, and hands-on execution
• You proactively suggest and implement improvements
