Assistant Accountant

For an international company we're looking for an Assistant Accountant. This position is a combination of finance (accounting), export shipping follow up and customer service. As an Assistant Accountant you will report together with 1 direct colleague to the finance manager.

You are in contact with all departments of the organization giving you the opportunity to get to know the full operation of the organization. Besides internal contacts you also take care of the external contacts with among others the customers and suppliers of the company.

Your tasks as Assistant Accountant:

• Follow up of export shipments: making sure all documents/controls are correct and being in contact with the transporter for timing of shipments;
• Invoicing of outgoing shipments: making sure that all details are correct (picking note, CMR, invoice). Also creating manual invoices for prepayment clients;
• Processing purchasing invoices: follow up, coding for booking and sending to external accounting firm;
• Follow up of contract usage in system for client orders;
• Check pricing on client confirmations.

The ideal profile:

• Bachelor required or equal by experience in accounting and/or logistics;
• Very good Office (Excel and Word) knowledge
• Good knowledge of accountancy programs or fast learning abilities;
• Perfect knowledge of Dutch and very good English, other languages are a plus;
• You are detailed and eager to find out differences in case these occur so that outgoing documents are ‘first time right';
• Good in listening and communication with customers and suppliers from all of the world;

The offer as Assistant Accountant:

• Gross 2500 – 3500 euro / month depending on experience and education
