For an international client located in Zaventem, we are looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Accountant to support a small team. The vacancy arises due to the upcoming retirement of a colleague. Are you looking for a varied role with a good work-life balance? Then this is a unique opportunity

Key responsibilities as Assistant Accountant

You will report directly to the Finance Director.

• Assisting with customer invoicing for all EMEA entities.
• Following up on outstanding customer invoices and payments (AR / AP).
• Sending payment reminders and contacting customers by phone when necessary for
the EMEA entities.
• Daily processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank transactions.
• Assisting with account reconciliations for the EMEA entities.
• Preparing and generating weekly and monthly reports.
• Handling administrative tasks related to relocation

Skilss and experience as Assistant Accountant

• 0–2 years of basic accounting experience, preferably with some experience in accounts
payable.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other commonly used
accounting software; good typing skills with the ability to quickly and accurately enter
alphanumeric data, including the use of a 10-key keypad.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required; French and/or Dutch is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple time-sensitive deadlines efficiently, and
remain motivated when working autonomously.
