Senior Accountant

A leading international pharmaceutical organisation in Berchem is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Your responsibilities as Senior Accountant:

• A-Z responsibility of various VAT (BE + Other EU) declarations on monthly and quarterly basis;
• Assist the team in the daily operational accounting tasks (financial journals, purchase invoices,…);
• Back-up of other accountants;
• Cashflow-management (prepare foreign currency exchanges, ICO-payments, …)
• Preparing vendor payments in Isabel;
• Controlling and administrating the expense note application;
• Handling of the general finance mailbox
• Preparing and recording monthly accruals and deferrals;
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing;
• Assist in ad hoc projects to optimize current processes;
• The accounting team currently consists of 2 accountants.

Your profile as Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor in Accountancy with minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of BE VAT (experience in other VAT declarations is a plus)
• Proficient in MS office
• Knowledge of MS AX and MS D365 is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• You are accurate and detail-oriented
• Proactive, stress-resistant, and eager to learn with strong analytical skills.
