Interim Senior GL Accountant

Our client, an industrial leader in its sector and based in Brussels, is looking for a self-employed Interim Senior GL Accountant for a period of 3 to 6 months.

The Interim Senior GL Accountant’s key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for general ledger activities for several entities, including the planning of the daily/monthly/yearly activities with a focus on fixed assets.
• Management of accounting activities related to CAPEX.
• Group reporting and statutory reporting.
• Ensure adherence to all procedures and work processes with respect to all BE GAAP and IFRS accounting matters.
• Perform detailed balance sheet variance analysis, to ensure completeness/accuracy during reconciliation and to explain key trends and movements with critical mindset.
• Responsible for the month end closing of his/her scope of activity and the reconciliation and the follow-up of the evolution of the related GL accounts.
• Act, if necessary, as support to the consolidation team.

The key qualifications required for this interim management job:

The ideal candidate has a strong and relevant technical knowledge in Accounting/VAT/TAX in BEGAAP and IFRS. He/she is deadline oriented in the day to day and closing activities. A strong user knowledge of SAP is a must. He/she is hands-on, pragmatic and solution oriented. He/she is trilingual Dutch, French, English.
