Junior Tax Manager

The role as Junior Tax Manager:

You will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department with tax compliance and planning activities. You will work closely with senior management and external advisors to ensure that the tax obligations are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and related documentation.
• Support the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Conduct research on various tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for tax compliance and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other indirect tax matters.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audit processes related to tax.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for all tax-related activities

What are we looking for in a Junior Tax Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
• At least 2 -5 years experience in an inhouse or consulting role
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of Belgian tax laws and regulations is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English, French or Dutch
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
