A growing Belgian subsidiary of a large group specialized in the banking sector is currently looking for a Senior Business Advisor Compliance to join its Brussels office.

A strategic position as Senior Business Advisor Compliance has just been created in Brussels due to the need of more people. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will play a central role in maintaining the bank's reputation and complying with ethical standards and rules of conduct.

Your main responsibilities as the new Senior Business Advisor Compliance will include:

• Assist the business divisions and their management in identifying, understanding, and managing the compliance risks related to the banks' activities as a bancassurer, present the rules of conduct in terms of opportunities and limits and update the guidelines to optimize their application
• Cooperate with other departments to advise on the implementation of appropriate solutions to control compliance risks and evaluate new projects, products and services.
• Monitor national and European regulations in compliance, organize awareness-raising and training activities and issue guidelines to ensure the adoption of appropriate internal processes and instructions
• Plan and carry out specific audits. You formulate proposals for recommendations and monitor their implementation in consultation with the operational divisions

About you:

• You have a master’s degree in Law
• You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
• You are familiar with European and Belgian financial legislation (MiFID, MAR, IDD, etc.).
• You are analytical, have an eye for detail and can defend your opinion
• You have experience as a lawyer in a legal or internal control function in the financial sector
• You are interested in the insurance sector
• You are a good communicator, motivated and solution oriented.
