Business Controller

An international company, active in the automotive industry, is looking for a Business Controller to join its offices in Brussels. In this role, you will be part of a team of 2 controllers and report to the Benelux Finance Director.

Your main responsibilities as a Business Controller will include:

• Financial Reporting and Control:
  • Contribute to monthly financial closing procedures.
  • Responsible for analyzing and overseeing the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Manage support functions for the Shared Service Center.
  • Coordinate with external auditors as needed
• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Analyze financial data to gain insights into business performance, detect trends, and forecast future financial outcomes:
    • Work collaboratively with different departments to formulate annual budgets and other financial plans.
    • Conduct thorough variance analysis
  • Engage as a strategic business partner in the strategic planning process, offering financial analysis and advisory support.
  • Challenge departments on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses based on predefined key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Process Optimization and Control:
  • Consistently evaluate (financial) processes and controls to pinpoint areas for enhancement and optimization.

Your profile:

• You have a Master’s degree in Business Economics
• You have 5-10 years’ experience as an auditor or controller
• You have a good command of Excel – SAP and Oracle is a plus
• You are fluent in English and have a good level of French and/or Dutch
