An international listed company specialising in the insurance sector is currently looking for a Senior Reporting Specialist to join its offices in Brussels.

A strategic position for a Senior Reporting Specialist has just been created in Brussels. Reporting to the Reporting and Consolidation Director, you will play a key role in monitoring and updating standards and regulations.

Your main responsibilities as the new Senior Reporting Specialist will include:

• Monitoring, analysing and interpreting changes in the various standards and external regulations relating to financial reporting and their impact on the Group
• Communicating changes in financial reporting standards and regulations and their impact to stakeholders
• Providing training for stakeholders
• Issuing financial reporting guidelines, instructions and policies and ensuring that they are implemented correctly and on time
• Regularly updating the Group's accounting policies and accounting manual
• Contributing to the annual report
• Providing advice on the handling of complex ad hoc transactions or issues raised by stakeholders in the context of standards and regulations

Your profile:

• You are fluent in English and have a good level of French or Dutch
• You have a master's degree in economics, finance, accounting or a related field
• You have at least 5 years' relevant experience in IFRS and financial reporting applied to IFRS
• You have an excellent knowledge of BEGAAP and Solvency II
