Business Coordinator (Europe)

An established company active in the Insurance sector is currently looking to hire a Business Coordinator (Europe) to join their offices in Brussels. Thanks to your expertise of the insurance sector, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role within your team and help increase the performance of existing European operating companies.

Your main responsibilities as the new Business Coordinator (Europe) will include:

• You will evaluate the performance of the operating companies related to the company. You will need to gain knowledge on the operations taking place as well as the market to provide valuable strategic input.
• You support local entities by identifying areas of improvement and best practice. This goes beyond pure financial metrics.
• You will be involved in ad-hoc projects: new products, M&A.
• You represent the local operating companies in group committees (Collateralized Debt Obligations, Finance reviews).

Your profile:

• You have a master’s degree and at the very least 5 years of professional experience.
• You have excellent knowledge of the insurance sector with a previous experience in 1) product management or 2) claims management or 3) Sales role within the insurance sector.
• Previous experience in a controlling environment is also an asset.
• You must be able to read and interpret the financial statements of insurance companies.
• You speak English fluently. Fluency in Turkish, French, Dutch and Portuguese are assets.

• You do not like a routine. You are open to travelling when necessary, and you know that this is a challenging role with peaks of activity.
• You have a strategic approach. You have a helicopter view.
