Business Compliance Officer

A growing company active in the Life Insurance sector is currently looking to hire a Business Compliance Officer to join their offices in Antwerp. Thanks to your experience in Insurance, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role within the company and your team.

Your main responsibilities as the new Business Compliance Officer will include:

• The role of BCO encompasses compliance in a large sense: audit, risk, legal, privacy and complaints management.
• You make sure that the company is up to date regarding all regulatory requirements (NBB, FSMA)
• You will perform appropriate testing and monitoring. Suggest relevant recommendations.
• You translate compliance requirements in a comprehensible manner and put in place a concrete action plan.
• You will communicate with legal department, risk officer, audit, DPO and escalate issues to higher management when appropriate
• Additional tasks will include: ORSA reporting, IDD compliance.

Your profile:

• You speak Dutch and French (one at a fluent level and one at least B1 level). English is considered a strong asset.
• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree level education, ideally in Law.
• You have proven experience in the insurance sector.
• A good legal basis is considered an asset.

• You are meticulous , detail-oriented, and independent.
• You are curious and is capable of good communication with all departments involved.
