Senior Property Underwriter

An innovative and leading Insurance company is looking for a dynamic Senior Property Underwriter to join their offices in Brussels. Thanks to your experience in Insurance & Underwriting, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role within your team and will set the premium & conditions based on the information received and using the available sources, tailored to the risk profile and the wishes and needs of the clients.

Your main responsibilities as the new Senior Property Underwriter will include:

• Assesses quotation requests and determines the terms and premium tailored to the risk profile, clients' requirements and prepares a proposal.
• Monitors and analyses the quality and profitability of the portfolio and, if necessary, proposes adjustments to the premium and/or conditions if necessary.
• Works closely with internal and external experts.
• Identifies trends and developments in the market and, together with colleagues, devises underwriting solutions that respond to these developments.
• Devises new or adapted products.
• Contributes to an effective and efficient organisation of work and a good atmosphere within the team and supports colleagues to ensure an optimal quality level.
• Participates in projects and represents the department internally and externally.

Your profile:

• You have at least a bachelor’s degree level education.
• You have an Advisor Property-Casualty certification, as well as a Brand Division certification.
• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, within the Insurance sector, preferably an Insurer or Insurance broker.
• You are fluent in Dutch & English, both verbally and in writing.
