Valuation Specialist

A European company specialised in the investment sector is now on the lookout for a new Valuation Specialist for its office based in Brussels region. In this role, your main focus will be to contribute to the Investment Controlling activities of the Group, with a specific focus on the Asian portfolio. The role will imply frequent interactions with the investment and finance teams.

Reporting to the Group Business Controller, your main responsibilities as Valuation Specialist will include:

• You will participate to the group portfolio monitoring
• You will collect data and follow up’s on the key events at portfolio companies
• You will participate actively in the bi-annual internal valuation process
• You will reviews & challenges internal valuation memos from the investment team
• You will organize valuation review meetings with the Group Business Controlling team and the Executive Committee
• You will liaise and coordinate with auditors and third-party advisors on valuation memos
• You will prepare investment reviews together with the investment team
• You will support the Group Business Controlling team for risk management & general controlling processes

The ideal Valuation Specialist holds a master’s degree in Business Engineering or in Economics and is CFA certified. At least 5 years of experience in investment banking or audit are required. Fluency in English is a must.
