Risk Analyst

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Risk Analyst within the Financial Services sector based in Antwerpen. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and international environment where risk management plays a central role in supporting business integrity and regulatory compliance.

Your responsibilities as a Risk Analyst :

• Define yearly control plan
• Design and implement local controls
• Perform controls for the Compliance / Risk function
• Identify and analyse operational risks and ensures the appropriateness of the measures taken to manage these risks
• Evaluate KYC-AML risk of the Benelux customers. Perform the Customer Due Diligence and make recommendations about the acceptability of the customer
• Submit proposals to the local / international Anti-Money Laundering Officer (AMLO) and (in time) will decide on the acceptance of risks within your own decision authority
• Besides assessing risks, you will have the opportunity to participate in various internal projects and eventually contribute to the development of policies and procedures (Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), business continuity management, IT security, fraud prevention, GDPR, KYC)
• Contribute to the preparation of the Risk Committee
• Create risk awareness within the organisation

About you :

• You have at least a bachelor’s degree in an economic field, ideally complemented by additional financial training, and at least 3 years of relevant risk analysis experience within the financial sector
• You have strong analytical and synthesis skills, an eye for detail and excellent writing abilities. You are well organised, accurate and able to manage deadlines effectively
• You have strong time management and email management skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and take initiative when required
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is considered an advantage
• You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills who can also work independently and proactively
• You are able to identify, monitor and assess risks while also proposing innovative ideas for improvements
• You are flexible, eager to learn and demonstrate a proactive mindset in your daily work
• You act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating customers fairly
• You have a broad interest in economics and financial markets
