A Belgian company active in the banking sector is currently looking to hire an OPC Officer to join their offices in Brussels.
Your main responsibilities as the new OPC Officer will include:
- Identify and assess operational risks in processes
- Provide advice that may be requested (development of a new product, adaptation of an existing process, simplification or removal of a control, digitization or automation of a process, etc.)
- Analyse the cause of major incidents and discuss a structural solution to prevent the incident from happening again
- Drive the acceptance process of new products or services and advise on operational risk
- Follow the recommendations of the General Inspection
- Contribute to the Internal Control Committee
- Implement controls
- Carry out spot checks
Your profile:
- You have minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry
- You have minimum 3 years’ experience in operational risk management
- You are fluent in English, and you have very good knowledge in French and Dutch
Your strengths:
- You have a good ability to initiate or implement process improvements
- You are analytical, pragmatic, proactive, excellent oral and written communication with various interlocutors
