Junior Underwriter (hybrid)

We are looking for an Underwriter to strengthen our Underwriting Department and help evaluate, monitor, and support credit insurance activities. If you have strong numerical skills, a structured mindset, and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment, this might be the next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities of the junior underwriter:

• Monitor exposures using both reactive (automated alerts) and proactive methodologies.
• Review and assess trade credit risks across multiple sectors.
• Support the acquisition, retention, and renewal of credit insurance policies.
• Assist underwriters with visit preparations, credit limit decisions, and analysis of sensitive risks.
• Prepare reports and contribute to risk-based decision making.
• Liaise with buyers, clients, and brokers regarding credit limit requests and issues.
• Support the Commercial team in developing and retaining insured business.

Ideal profile of the junior underwriter:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
• Fluent in Dutch, with strong English communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Able to multitask, take initiative, and work under time pressure.
• Rigorous, accurate, and reliable in managing information.
