Capex Buyer

A manufacturing group with international activities in Europe and the US, is urgently looking for a Freelance Capex Buyer for a project of 24 months located south of Antwerp.

In collaboration with all stakeholders, you are responsible for the entire CAPEX procurement process of the site. Working within the Asset Management department, you operate locally and report to the Lead CAPEX Buyer.

Your role is to contribute to the company's profitability by optimizing CAPEX procurement, striving for cost/quality/deadline/performance efficiency to provide the services needed to execute plant operations within the set timeframes.

The key responsibilities of the Freelance Capex Buyer will include:

• Analyse the operational needs, plan activities, and seek potential suppliers.
• Manage Supplier Intelligence.
• Responsible for processing purchase requests, managing tenders, orders, contracts, and their follow-up.
• Monitor the performance and evaluation of suppliers.
• Ensure that knowledge related to technical procurement is maintained over time.
• Maintain an ongoing dialogue with your contacts to raise awareness and inform them about the applicable procedures and good practices in technical procurement.

The ideal profile as Freelance Capex Buyer:

• You have a technical master's degree and at least 5 years of experience in multidisciplinary technical procurement in an industrial environment.
• You have a sound knowledge of SAP and strong communication skills.
• You have outstanding analytical skills with strong business acumen and strong business writing skills.
• Fluency in English and Dutch with a knowledge of French is an asset.
