Financial Controller

A leading global group’s Belgian subsidiary is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team in Brussels. This position offers the chance to contribute to the company's growth and report to the Head of Accounting and Treasury.

Your responsibilities as a Financial Controller:

• Ensuring reliable accounting by recording and reporting transactions
• Supporting internal and external audits with documentation and risk mitigation
• Designing and improving internal processes, especially around inventory management
• Implementing a formalized stock inventory process and ensuring accurate bookings
• Driving process improvements with a focus on efficiency and automation
• Monitoring KPIs and securing subprocesses in the area of responsibility
• Provide the necessary alerts for business risks (fraud, compliance) and associated mitigating controls
• Consult, bring transparency to business stakeholders on financial KPIs, figures and processes (finance data oriented)
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving overdue items
• Contributing to monthly and annual financial closings and validating financial statements
• Overseeing special accounting topics and ensuring accurate financial reporting

About you :

• You have 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, ideally in auditing or financial control
• You love to work autonomously, dig into big amounts of data and are very solution-oriented
• You are assertive, resourceful, proactive
• You are fluent in both French and English
