Group Financial Controller

A Group Financial Controller position is available within an international organization operating in the insurance sector in Brussels. Your responsabilities as a Group Financial Controller :

The Group Financial Controller will have an important role in the Company’s network, and will be responsible for financial reporting to the Executive Committee and follow up all financial aspects.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for all financial aspects of the network. This including financial forecast/analysis, budgeting and cash flow. In addition, the position will be responsible for office management, managing of HR policies and follow up contracts with third parties. In cooperation with the legal & compliance Manager, the position will also be responsible to ensure that financial & administrative legal and compliance requirements are met for the company.

Implementing improved financial initiatives with effective strategic planning, governance, financial analysis and recommendation, is crucial for the future.

Moreover, your main responsibilities are :

• Annual financial planning and budgeting
• Perform various financial analysis
• Preparation of financial statements and reports
• Follow up revenues/expenses
• Follow up and dividends payout, payments and loss settlements
• To ensure proper accounting and reporting
• To manage Office locations worldwide
• Follow up all contractual agreements of behalf of the company
• To follow up legal requirements for the company and to make good governance is followed
• To manage HR policies and to assist in follow up guidelines

About you :

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• You have over 5 years of finance managerial experience, ideally in financial services or insurance
• You have a proven track record of leading Finance & Administration projects from scope to implementation
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills and can analyze financial data to prepare reports and projections
• You have experience developing finance organizations and conducting strategy assessments
• You possess excellent communication skills in English, with additional languages considered an asset
• You are proficient in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel (knowledge of BOB software is a plus)
• You are a trusted advisor, entrepreneurial, organized, detail-oriented, process-minded, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities
