Are you ready to take on a key role in a highly reputable, family-owned business? A well-established company in the legal sector is looking for a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their management team in Elsene. This 3rd-generation family business, with 115 employees, offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact while working closely with the owner.

Your role as CFO:

As CFO, you’ll report directly to the owner and play a crucial role in driving the company’s financial success. You’ll lead a team of 8 professionals in controlling and accounting, while also being actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and managing all accounting and financial operations.
  • Improving internal procedures and implementing audit and control mechanisms.
  • Enhancing IT tools and ERP systems to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitoring departmental profitability and ensuring financial health.
  • Setting up and maintaining a strong recurring reporting system for management.
  • Providing regular updates to the Executive Committee, including interpreting results, identifying issues, proposing solutions, and recommending improvements.
  • Supporting the company’s growth by tackling challenges head-on.

What we’re looking for in a CFO:

We’re searching for someone who combines expertise with leadership skills and thrives in a dynamic environment.

You have:

  • A Master’s degree in Finance or Economics.
  • At least 8 years of experience (Big 4 experience is a plus).
  • Proven success in managing teams (you’ll lead a team of 8).
  • Fluency in Dutch, English, and French is a must.
  • Rigorous, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive, transparent, and hands-on in your approach.

What do you get in return:

  • An attractive salary package with extra benefits, including:
    • A company car with a fuel card.
    • A net allowance.
    • Hospitalization insurance.
  • Flexible working hours that support your work-life balance.
  • A highly reputable company with easy access to public transport.
  • A dynamic work environment within a growing family business.

This is your chance to be part of a passionate team where your contributions truly matter. As CFO, you’ll play an integral role in shaping the future of this successful family business while enjoying the benefits of a flat organizational structure.
