HR Officer
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a meaningful role in an international, mission-driven environment? A non-profit organization active in the European financial sector is looking for a motivated and hands-on HR Officer to join its Brussels team for a 6-month assignment. This position offers a broad generalist scope, combining both operational HR and project support, within a small, collaborative, and high-performing team.
Your Responsibilities
As an HR Officer, you will play an active role in supporting HR operations and contributing to key projects within the organization.
Your main tasks include:
- Supporting the transition to a new payroll provider and its integration with the time management system
- Assisting with recruitment processes, from job posting to onboarding
- Coordinating the training and development program, ensuring employees’ requests and needs are effectively managed
- Contributing to payroll, compensation, and benefits administration
- Providing administrative and analytical support to the HR team and management
- Acting as a reliable point of contact for HR-related questions and ensuring confidentiality at all times
Your Profile
We are looking for a structured, proactive, and detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working in a collaborative international environment.
- University degree in HR, Psychology, or related Human Sciences
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role
- Strong knowledge of Belgian labour and social legislation
- Excellent command of French and English (both spoken and written)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High sense of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
