Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a meaningful role in an international, mission-driven environment? A non-profit organization active in the European financial sector is looking for a motivated and hands-on HR Officer to join its Brussels team for a 6-month assignment. This position offers a broad generalist scope, combining both operational HR and project support, within a small, collaborative, and high-performing team.

Your Responsibilities
As an HR Officer, you will play an active role in supporting HR operations and contributing to key projects within the organization.

Your main tasks include:

  • Supporting the transition to a new payroll provider and its integration with the time management system
  • Assisting with recruitment processes, from job posting to onboarding
  • Coordinating the training and development program, ensuring employees’ requests and needs are effectively managed
  • Contributing to payroll, compensation, and benefits administration
  • Providing administrative and analytical support to the HR team and management
  • Acting as a reliable point of contact for HR-related questions and ensuring confidentiality at all times

Your Profile

We are looking for a structured, proactive, and detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working in a collaborative international environment.

  • University degree in HR, Psychology, or related Human Sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labour and social legislation
  • Excellent command of French and English (both spoken and written)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High sense of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
