Payroll Assistant
This international non-profit organisation, based in Brussels, brings together professionals from across the globe in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. To support their HR team during a busy period, they are looking for a detail-oriented and service-minded Payroll Assistant for a 6-month temporary assignment, with the possibility of long-term collaboration.
What you’ll do as a Payroll Assistant:
As Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and act as the first point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as liaison between the organisation and the payroll provider (Partena)
- Preparing, verifying, and following up on monthly payroll data
- Responding to employee queries related to salary, taxes, holiday pay, sick leave, etc.
- Managing payroll documents and maintaining accurate employee records
- Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure consistency and compliance
- Supporting the team with reporting and payroll-related administrative tasks
- Handling basic calculations and working with Excel spreadsheets to track figures and data
What you bring as a Payroll Assistant:
We’re looking for someone who combines accuracy and a service-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in payroll and HR administration.
Your qualifications:
- Previous experience in a payroll-related role, ideally within an international environment
- Comfortable working with numbers and maintaining confidentiality
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), with a good command of French or Dutch
- Experience working with Partena payroll systems is required
- Good knowledge of Belgian payroll and social security regulations
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling tables and figures
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
