Accounting Manager

Our client, a Brussels-based listed company in the service industry, is looking for a Freelance Accounting Manager for a temporary assignment of minimum 4 months.

Key responsibilities of the Freelance Accounting Manager are:

  • Lead and mentor the General Accounting team to ensure smooth operations and skill development.
  • Oversee accounting close processes for BGAAP and IFRS, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare annual accounts, coordinate audits, and address ad hoc accounting inquiries.
  • Ensure financial control through account reconciliation and internal controls.
  • Develop accounting procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Optimize departmental performance and resources for efficiency.

Key qualifications of the Freelance Accounting Manager include:

  • A strong experience as Accounting Manager within a finance department of a large company.
  • Expertise in BGAAP and IFRS.
  • Fluent in Dutch, French, and good knowledge of English.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with financial applications and ERP systems.
  • A knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
