Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

A global leader company in the chemical industry, based in the Liege area, is looking for a Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to strengthen their Engineering & Construction team. In this role, you will report to the Engineering & Construction Manager.

As Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), some of your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the E&I team made of 15 persons,

• Deciding strategically on the improvement of process management (whether in installations and studies) and that of resource management (recruitment & expansion of staff, training and collaboration objectives) within the department,

• Acting as the reference person for the solutions in the E&I domain,

• Providing the right technical support to the production and maintenance departments in order to ensure the proper execution of the investment plans,

• Understanding their needs & requests, translating them into the field of E&I and proposing the optimal solution based on the current set of portfolio within the domain,

• Planning the E&I studies of the projects in close cooperation with the Project Manager E&I as well as with the other disciplines and ensuring the right follow up from design to commissioning,

• Making sure to have the right approach with internal and external stakeholders and continuously working in improving those.

The ideal candidate for the position of Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) holds a degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering with a Master in Electricity with at least 10 years of industrial experience as E&I expert in a design office or within an industry. Knowledge of HV&LV is mandatory with a good understanding of automation programs (PLC&DCS).

French speaking and fluent in English.
