Robert Walters raises €3,776 for the Epilepsie Liga

10/11/2016

On October 14th, the Robert Walters Group organised their worldwide Global Charity Day in order to raise as much money as possible to donate to local charities. Consultants from all our offices participated in a wide-range of imaginative activities, from eating contests to bake sales, singing competitions and marathons.

Here in Belgium, we this year supported the Epilepsie Liga. With 1 out of 100 people suffering from epilepsy, it is the most common neurologic disorder and affects people of all ages, from infants to the aged, and can result from many causes. Epilepsie Liga’s core mission is to support scientific research into the causes, treatment and prevention of epilepsy and provide information, advice and psychological help to patients and their families.

Consultants from across our Robert Walters and Walters People offices in Belgium pitched in with a series of events: from bake sales, to imaginative office challenges and last but not least, a charity raffle. Our partners Culinaria Agency, Fait Maison, Froets, K2 Event Services and Neuhaus generously contributed to the raffle’s prize pot which had two round tickets to Barcelona as 1st prize.

In total, 3776 euros were raised. "Thanks to the joined efforts of clients, candidates, suppliers and our staff, we were able to raise a significant amount of money to support the Epilepsie Liga”, said Antoine Biot, Director of Robert Walters Belgium.

“Doing the right thing for the communities we work in is a key part of our heritage“, added Özlem Simsek, Director of Walters People Belgium. “It’s about doing the right thing for our people, that's our approach”.

Through supporting the Epilepsie Liga, we hope to have helped to spread awareness and contribute to transform and save lives.
