Freelance Industrial Construction Project Manager

A leading manufacturing company based in Liège is seeking a Freelance Industrial Construction Project Manager for an assignment of minimum 6 months. The role involves managing industrial building and MEP projects from planning through to commissioning, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.

The Freelance Industrial Construction Project Manager’s key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and managing daily site operations, supervising workforce and subcontractors.
• Coordinating material deliveries and resolving technical or logistical issues.
• Organizing site meetings and reporting progress to the Program Manager.
• Administering contracts, tracking changes, and supporting procurement to avoid delays.
• Reviewing and coordinating submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
• Monitoring project costs and schedules, and maintaining documentation.
• Facilitating communication among architects, engineers, consultants, and the client.
• Enforcing health, safety, and environmental regulations, including green certifications if needed.
• Managing inspections, punch lists, testing, and commissioning for timely handover.

The key qualifications required for this Freelance Industrial Construction Project Manager job:
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Civil or Electromechanical Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience as a project manager or site supervisor on civil and MEP turnkey projects. Strong expertise in construction management tools, contract administration, and HSE compliance is essential. BIM knowledge is a plus. Fluency in French both written and verbally is a must, some basic operational knowledge of Dutch is an asset. You are organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders while ensuring operational excellence.
