Procurement Category Manager MRO& Capex

Join a leading player in the building materaials’ industry as their Strategic Category Manager - MRO & CAPEX Contracts, tasked with optimizing procurement operations across global plants.

As a Strategic Category Manager - MRO & CAPEX Contracts, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute a unified procurement strategy (direct and indirect procurement matters) in line with company strategy,
• Manage procurement budget together with local buyers situated in the sites,
• Collaborate with Plant Directors to pilot and discuss the maintenance, repair and capex investments in order to define the different categories involved,
• Focus on cost efficiency, delivery reliability, and risk mitigation.
• Manage and centralize supplier selection, contract negotiations, and long-term partnerships strategically.
• Create a centralized procurement reporting system

About You :

• At least 10 years of experience in procurement roles within industrial environment with prior experience in MRO& CAPEX
• Master’s degree in Engineering studies
• Deep familiarity with global suppliers and market trends.
• Skilled negotiator with a track record of managing supplier relationships effectively.
• Comfortable working within complex project-based organizations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German would be beneficial.
