Interim Warehouse Manager
For an international logistics centre serving several European countries, we are looking for an experienced Interim Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the warehouse operations during an important period of change and expansion. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 months, starting mid-October 2026 at the latest.
The Interim Manager’s key responsibilities will include
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure business continuity.
- Lead, manage and motivate the warehouse team, ensuring clear objectives, structure and accountability.
- Ensure efficient inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound processes.
- Monitor operational performance, productivity, service levels and KPIs, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Define and adapt warehouse configuration plans
- Ensure inventories accuracy & stock reconciliations with the data storage system
- Oversee transport needs and stores distribution.
- Optimise warehouse processes, workflows and capacity in line with the company’s growth and efficiency plans. Focus on continuous improvements and the implementation the strategic group plan.
- Ensure that customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time to multiple European destinations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and cost performance.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and operational procedures.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to lead social relations, training plans, tackle absenteeism and capacity planning.
- Support the organisation through its expansion by implementing a structured and scalable warehouse operation.
- Report weekly to the Head of International Logistics on project advancement and warehouse performance.
The key qualifications required for this interim management job
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with a proven track record of managing warehouse operations in a complex, preferably international logistics environment. The ideal candidate combines strong people-management skills with a hands-on and pragmatic approach to operational improvement. Experience managing growth, warehouse expansion or organisational change is highly valued. Strong communication and stakeholder-management
skills are essential, together with the ability to quickly take ownership of the operation and deliver results in an interim context. Strong Excell and distribution software is required,.
Fluency in French and English is a must and Dutch is a plus.
