Finance Manager Belgium

Are you an experienced finance professional who thrives on broad responsibilities, ownership, and making a direct impact on the business? For Wacker Neuson, one of the world's leading suppliers of light and compact construction equipment, we are looking for a Finance Manager Belgium based in Asse. In this versatile role, you will take full financial responsibility for the Belgian entity and act as a key business partner and right-hand person to the Managing Director. You will combine operational accounting with financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and people management within a very small team. You can also count on a comprehensive handover from the current interim manager, who is currently fulfilling the role, ensuring that you can start this new challenge well prepared and with the necessary support.

Your responsibilities as Finance Manager Belgium:

• Manage the full accounting cycle from A to Z and provide hands-on operational support where needed.
• Work within a very small team and take responsibility for managing and guiding the team.
• Closely monitor month-end closings, VAT, Intrastat, Recupel/Recybat, and tax preparation.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process and ensure timely and accurate reporting of P&L, cash flow, and KPIs.
• Analyse financial figures, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively support the Managing Director as a trusted financial business partner.
• Ensure the accounting processing of payroll and contribute to the follow-up of financial and HR-related matters.

Your profile:

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, or have developed an equivalent level of expertise through relevant experience in finance, audit, or controlling.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English and communicate confidently and professionally with various stakeholders.
• You are a hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys bringing structure, taking responsibility, and remaining operationally involved.
• You work accurately and analytically, take initiative, and have a decisive and results-oriented mindset.
• You have strong people management skills and know how to manage deadlines and month-end closings efficiently.
• Ideally, you have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial role within an SME environment.
• Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
