Director of Operational Technology
Our client, a company active in the infrastructure sector, in Liège is looking for a self-employed (Freelance) Director of Operational Technology ad.interim for a period of minimum 6 months.
The Director of Operational Technology key responsibilities will include:
The Director of Operational Technology is primarily responsible for the effective management of the Technology department, as well as for planning, coordinating, and overseeing activities related to the company’s information systems and data processing. She/He also acts as a facilitator and leader in the implementation of innovative and ambitious projects aligned with the company's strategy. This position is part of the Executive Committee and reports directly to the CEO.
The key qualifications required for the role of Director of Operational Technology :
- Leading the department and managing, guiding, and supporting the various teams and all team members at an operational level
- Being responsible for the planning, steering, development, implementation, and maintenance of Technology and telecommunication systems.
- Overseeing the production processes of the various information systems (delivery and support) and being accountable for implementing the technology strategy.
- Ensuring the professional development of team members through appropriate coaching and collaborating directly with the HR department to ensure progression, monitoring, and career development plans
- Driving the development and continuous improvement of the technological roadmap, in line with technological advancements and the company's strategic development (business benefits, required budget, necessary resources, technical challenges, and execution planning);
The key qualifications required for the role of Director of Operational Technology :
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a similar role;
- Fluency in French and English
- Visionary thinking and the ability to adapt the company’s technology strategy in a flexible and dynamic way, in line with its ambitions;
- Strong ability to unite teams around common goals and to give meaning to actions in order to gain buy-in and engagement;
- Holder of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience);
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
- Ability to act as a conductor/orchestrator:
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills;
