Freelance Commercial Controller

Our client, a Brussels based company active in the FMCG sector, is looking for a Freelance Commercial Controller and FP&A available immediately to join the team on a 4-month part-time assignment (3 to 4 days per week).

Key responsibilities of the Freelance Commercial Controller and FP&A:

• Take ownership of the full P&L for the entity, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Controlling.
• Act as the key finance reference for the entity, centralizing inputs from various stakeholders.
• Manage the monthly closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to update weekly sales and results forecasts for upcoming months, presenting insights to executive leadership (General Manager, CFO, Sales Manager).
• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of IT tools such as SAP, Oracle EPM, and Power BI.
• Lead the preparation of budgets and budget revisions for the entity.

Key qualifications of the Freelance Commercial Controller and FP&A:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar position; prior experience in the FMCG industry is a strong plus.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch and French is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Power BI.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
