HSE Coordinator

A global food company with sites across Europe is looking for an HSE Coordinator to join its team in Mechelen. In this role, you will directly report and collaborate with the Plant Manager.

As an HSE COORDINATOR, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Guiding teams in carrying out risk assessments and improving workplace safety
• Creating engaging training sessions on HSE topics
• Setting up and applying clear safety guidelines to meet legal and internal standards
• Reviewing new equipment to ensure it meets safety requirements
• Tracking key safety and environmental indicators and report to the plant manager
• Detecting safety or environmental risks and offer practical solutions
• Organizing and follow up on both internal and external HSE audits
• Supporting sustainability by leading efforts to improve environmental practices

About you:

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or have equivalent experience
• You are committed to promoting safe working practices
• You have previous experience in a similar role
• You hold (or are willing to obtain) a Prevention Advisor Level II certificate
• You have an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
• You bring technical expertise or are eager to deepen your understanding of safety standards
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
