Mechanical Reliability Engineer

Our client, a leading company in the metallurgy sector based in Nivelles, is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineer

As a Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Managing subcontracted work, including preparation, supervision, follow-up, and final acceptance
• Planning and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance operations for mechanical equipment
• Leading technical meetings and taking ownership of key decisions
• Proposing technical improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance
• Handling validation and qualification processes for new or repaired equipment
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Anticipating and managing equipment-related incidents and failures
• Ensuring availability and proper storage of spare parts

About you :

• You have strong technical expertise in mechanics and hydraulics, along with solid knowledge of instrumentation.
• You have at least 5 years of proven hands-on experience in an industrial mechanical environment.
• You enjoy collaborating with your team on technical aspects of machinery to help ensure smooth production operations.
• You hold a degree in Engineering, (e.g. Reliability, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
• You have practical experience in preventive maintenance and understand its impact on long-term reliability.
• You possess project management skills and are capable of leading reliability improvement initiatives.
• You are confident reading and interpreting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
• You are an effective communicator and active listener, fostering strong team interactions.
• You work in a structured, efficient manner and know how to prioritize tasks effectively.
• You take ownership of your responsibilities and are comfortable making both simple and complex decisions independently.
• You are fluent in both English and French.
