Deputy Accounting & Reporting Officer

Our client, an international engineering company, is looking for a self-employed interim Deputy Accounting & Reporting Officer for an assignment of min. 1 year

Your responsibilities :

• Act as full back-up of the Accounting & Reporting Manager, including the ability to run closings autonomously
• Ensure business continuity of the accounting and reporting cycle during absences and peak periods
• Take ownership of selected topics to allow the Manager to focus on projects
• Accounting / Cost Accounting Coordination
• Follow up of SAP accounting (FI module), including international branches (balance reconciliation)
• VAT and Tax matters
• IFRS-related matters (IAS19 ,IFRS16, etc.)
• Management of key operational processes
• Reporting Coordination
• Support and coordination with : Local Team (Account Payable / General Ledger / Cost Accounting / Reporting), Accountants in international Branches & Shared Services

Required profile :

• Strong background in accounting & Reporting
• Solid understanding of Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP (FI module)
• Demonstrated ability to run a full closing process autonomously
• Ability to work in an international environment
• Comfortable working in a changing environment
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with proficiency in English.
• Autonomous, proactive, and rigorous.
