Interim Senior Industrial Project Manager

Are you an experienced industrial project manager looking for your next challenge? Our client, a leading industrial player in Wallonia, is looking for an Interim Senior Industrial Project Manager to join their team on a freelance basis for an exciting 18-month assignment. This is a unique opportunity to lead and coordinate complex projects across all phases while working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.

The Interim Senior Industrial Project Manager’s key responsibilities include:

• Support the Program Leader in ensuring project success across cost, schedule, quality, and risk dimensions.
• Manage project governance, planning tools, and cross-functional coordination between work packages, internal teams, and external partners.
• Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure technical consistency across work packages.
• Prepare tender packages and technical specifications.
• Evaluate bids technically and participate in contract negotiations.
• Oversee daily execution activities, testing, commissioning, and handover to operations and maintenance teams.
• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, QHSE, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Report directly to the Project Manager with weekly coordination meetings involving the project team.

To be successful in this role, you:

• Have a proven track record in managing and coordinating industrial projects from design to execution.
• Are able to interpret technical documentation such as P&IDs, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of HSE standards, ATEX regulations, and pyrotechnics is an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools is essential.
• Are well-organised, methodical, autonomous, and responsive with strong problem-solving skills.
• Show excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Are fluent in French and have a professional level of English.
